The reason I decided to blog about him today? We went out last night for “Date Night”. Now usually we end up going to our neighborhood watering hole for the usual burger and drinks. But for whatever reason he wanted to try someplace new. All day I was excited. We were trying a place we had never been. Now the real story……much of the time he was complaining about parking, or how crowded it was or the outrageous prices. Ugh!! I was a little annoyed. But I just went with it and listened to what he had to say.
At the end of the night I lay in bed and thought about the evening. Was I annoyed with him, YES!! But I couldn’t stop thinking about this man. He is a very hands-on man. Everyone calls on him when they need something done. He doesn’t like to pay anyone to do any projects at our house. He likes to complete them himself. This is not a man who comes home and sits in front of the TV after work. He is always on a project. He is always fixing, creating, installing, tinkering or building something.
This is a man that is dependable. He works hard and always tries to keep me happy. He knows me better than anyone. He came into my life unexpectedly, at a time when I really wasn’t looking to be in love. He is a simple man. He doesn’t need much in life to keep him happy. Luckily one of the things he needs is me.
He will never read this post. He doesn’t ever read my blog, but I am using my blog as sort of a diary and this is something that I really wanted to put out there. The moral to my story, I am not sure. He is who he is and I need to just let him be.
So true baby girl. He is such a good guy. I love him too, but probably not quite as much as you do.
ReplyDeleteAhh it's kind of sad he will never read your post cause it is so sweet! Who wouldn't want to hear such kind things from the one they love. He really sounds great. I am always amazed by those guys who can do just about anything. I'm so happy he is so good for you. Thank you so much for leaving such kind comments on my blog. I can't wait to read more of yours.
ReplyDeleteGood men act like that, and women call that a happy marriage....I am happy for BOTH of you!
ReplyDeleteWell done Cindy. What a heartfelt tribute. I think this somewhat epitomizes your outlook...you are fortunate to see the world thru rose-colored glasses;). Always striving to find the brighter side of everyday things. Again, well done!
ReplyDeleteReally a lovely post! A happy marriage is a real blessing. I loved your line, "luckily one of the things he needs is me."
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
